David has an MBA, Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and has passed the Certified Financial Planner and Financial Adviser exams. He has been providing financial advice for the last 10 years following a career leading and managing various businesses. He has provided financial advice to clients of one of the Big Four banks, a corporate investment company and an industry super fund.
After a long career, David is stepping away from his full time role as Financial Adviser and returns part time in early 2025 assisting the advice team in the analysis and development of complex client strategies and other supportive tasks.

After six years as an Australian army officer, Don entered the financial planning industry in 1980. Don has also worked at senior national levels in several management roles, is a sought-after public speaker and has presented numerous papers at industry forums.

Jonathan is passionate about helping clients achieve their financial goals and provides high-quality financial advice with integrity and honesty. He began his career in auditing, progressing to audit manager, before joining the financial services industry. He has 12 years of experience working for large international institutions including HSBC Private Bank and Northern Trust in the UK, and AMP in Australia. His various roles with these institutions have included managing client relationships for high net worth clients and various finance and team management roles for funds and corporates.
Jonathan is also our Research Manager, utilising the investment knowledge he has gained over his career as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder. In this capacity, Jonathan provides ongoing review and oversight of all new and existing products recommended by PWS.

Alex joined the Life Insurance industry in 2002 and has a deep appreciation for the value of life changing financial advice and the outcomes it can deliver, having grown up in an advice practice.
Alex joined PWS in 2019 to bring her expertise to the team. She has a strong background in group and retail life insurance, policy interpretation, underwriting practices and terms, claims advocacy, and employee benefit programs.
At PWS, Alex is responsible for leading our Corporate Benefits Solution and Referral Partnerships programs. Her extensive experience allows her to develop strategic partnerships with employer groups and collaborate with other professional service providers to best serve our clients.
One of Alex’s key strengths is advocating for clients at claim time. Drawing on her experience in group, super default, and retail insurance claims, Alex understands the value of recommending quality contractual definitions, which sees her advised clients benefit from increased claims success.
In addition to her professional experience, Alex is also bilingual and speaks German fluently, having picked up a bit of Austrian dialect during her time living in the south of Austria with her family.
Currently, Alex is completing her Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning, to further her knowledge and skills to better serve our clients at PWS.

Mike is our Compliance Manager and has over 34 years’ experience in the financial services industry in various technical and managerial roles.
Prior to joining PWS he held senior compliance roles in financial services including licensing and audits/reviews for a major insurer, general insurance brokerages and numerous financial planning firms and their representatives.
Mike earned a degree in law from the Australian National University in Canberra and holds a practicing certificate as a solicitor and barrister in NSW. He is also a fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and holds a Diploma in Personal Financial Planning from the University of Southern Queensland.
Mike is responsible for conducting our AFS Licensee and Representative Reviews, managing our compliance requirements with various government regulatory bodies and general compliance management.

Kirstin began her career in auditing in South Africa and obtained extensive experience in the audit and accounting of a wide range of industries. Subsequently she worked as a financial analyst with the Royal Bank of Canada in the Channel Islands before relocating to Australia and joining PWS.
Kirstin is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK) and has joined PWS as our financial controller.

Bilal has a strong academic background in Financial Planning from Kaplan Professional (Grad Dip FP) and Accounting from Macquarie University (BCom Acc) and has worked in client services, retail and administration since 2011.
He enjoys working in the financial services industry due to its dynamic character. His role at PWS allows him to combine his experience in client service with his interest in financial services, enabling him to provide an efficient and complete personalised experience to all PWS clients. Bilal provides the day-to-day support to our executive financial planners and ensures that PWS’ valued clients’ financial needs and requirements are administered accordingly.

Educated in both Australia and the UK, John holds an MBA and other financial qualifications.
